Sometimes I have to think about how long I’ve been flying drones and creating images with them. It’s easier to recall how many drones I have lost or crashed than the number of years I’ve been involved. Nevertheless, my father is most influential on me in this area. Although he never flew a drone, he loved aviation and all that it encompassed. When I was home for the holidays in 2012, I noticed that amongst his collection of model aircraft in his bedroom-office was a model helicopter, but it had a remote control for it. When I asked if he ever flew it, he replied, “Hell no, I’ll just crash it.” Yet, he encouraged me to give it a go and so I did… and that’s how it all started.
